Position   NOC ENGINEER
Location Gurgaon
Reporting Manager Manager NOC
Shift Timings 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (EST)

Key Responsibilities And Skillset:

  • In this role one should be capable enough to recognize difficult networks and identify the issues or advise ways to fix them for refined work procedure.
  • Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability RCA, resolution and incident management along with L2 support.
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS) is required.
  • Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model is required.
  • Replacing faulty network hardware components as and when required.
  • Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
  • Network security experience along with excellent knowledge security gateways e.g. Sonicwall, Fortigate etc.
  • In depth knowledge of the four network types (WLAN, LAN, WAN, MAN).
  • Willing to work in shifts 24X7 and willing to travel alone or with team as required.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
  • Should be willing to take ownership of switching and Wi-Fi recurring issues.
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.

Required Experience:

  • 1 – 2 years of  experience

Desired Qualification: 

A professional certification in any or all of the following:

  • TECH / BCA Fresher
  • CCNP/ CCNA
