OculusIT is looking for a Director of University Partnerships who will be responsible for developing new accounts and relationships to company growth. The selected candidate will have a thorough understanding of information technology and managed services in the higher education industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Maintain daily reports providing a clear picture of leads, opportunities, and forecasts
  • Maintain a sales funnel from marketing lead to close and build and maintain a 4x pipeline
  • Remain fluent in the complete breadth of company products and services
  • Work cross-functionally in an inclusive way
  • Inside sales process improvement (from opportunity creation through deal completion)
  • Build and execute a regional strategy and cultivate relationships to create new partnerships
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing on strategies to keep a healthy sales funnel
  • Accurately forecast regional sales opportunities
  • Document all activities and meetings in the CRM
  • Provide customer and market intelligence to Product, Marketing, and Management teams
  • Use Forecast, Pipeline, Win/Loss, and other analytics to develop specific actions to improve forecast redictability, long term pipeline visibility & coverage, deal velocity and win rates
  • Drive the transformation of the sales process & sales capability to be more closely aligned with current industry trends
  • Partner with Leadership to develop enablement plans tailored to regional goals and objectives
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows and conferences

Experience: 

  • 7+ years of sales experience
  • 5+ years successfully selling into Higher Education
  • 3+ years of successful Field Sales
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota
  • Developing relationships with technology decision makers at colleges and universities
  • Live within 30 miles of a major airport
  • Deep understanding of Higher Education information technology and managed services

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Self-starter, sales hunter, confident and entrepreneurial with a track record of using analytical skills to proactively develop new insights that drive growth
  • A four-year degree from an accredited institution, equivalent qualification, or experience
  • Professional sales experience in the higher education domain
  • A hands-on collaborative style of working
  • Influencer with a proven ability to develop strong working relationships in a matrixed, global environment and establishing credibility across functional lines of business (i.e.: Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Client Services, Business Operations)
  • Excellent track record in cross-functional roles, earning the respect and trust of colleagues, subordinates, and managers alike
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, communicating effectively with customers, executives, leaders, program/initiative owners, stakeholders, and other audiences as well as delivering presentations before large audiences
